1. Payment and Ordering

1.1 Submitting information to place an order

The customer is responsible to provide accurate and required information when submitting an order, including complete name, shipping and billing address, telephone number, valid e-mail address, and valid payment method. Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking is not responsible for mis-delivery due to incorrect information submitted by the customer.

1.2 Payment

Payment for any order must be made in full in advance at the time the order is placed. All major credit cards, Paypal, Venmo, and ApplePay are accepted methods of payment. Credit card payments are processed through Square.

1.3 Sales Tax

Applicable sales tax will be added to all orders submitted from the USA. The appropriate sales tax will be applied to your designated location. Import duties ad taxes may be applied to your order upon your country’s customs receiving your order. You are responsible to pay the import fees to receive your order.

1.4 Order changes

It is not possible to change your order once it has been placed and mailed out to you. The only exception is the delivery address, which can be changed if your order has not yet been shipped. To change the address for an unshipped order, please contact John at beachwoodworking@gmail.com.

1.5 Color Matching

You acknowledge and understand that wood colors may vary slightly in person than from your computer or mobile screen. We are not responsible for this color variation issue. No guarantee is made that any image as seen online will necessarily match exactly the colors on the final product.

1.6 Commissioned artwork

All custom and commissioned artwork is paid in full in advance of John beginning your order. Artwork will be digitally sketched and can be changed and edited until you are satisfied with the artwork. Full refunds will be accepted until John begins cutting your approved digital sketch.

1.7 Personal Data

All information submitted by you for your order will never be shared to or sold to a third party or used for any other means or reasons then inputting the information for delivery purposes or to directly contact you about your order. Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking respects your privacy.

2. Delivery

2.1 Cost

Shipping cost is calculated at checkout and is determined by the weight of the order and your delivery location. Shipping cost includes packaging materials, handling, and insurance. Customer is liable for any additional shipping charges due to incorrect address details given when submitting your order.

*All orders are shipped from McMinnville, Tennessee, USA.

2.2 Tracking

All orders are shipped via USPS with tracking unless otherwise agreed between Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking and the customer to ship with tracking via a different mail courier either prior to ordering or after payment for the order has been received.

All orders include tracking. If you are ordering outside of the USA or Canada and you would like a less expensive shipping rate without tracking please contact beachwoodworking@gmail.com to receive a lower shipping rate WITHOUT tracking.

2.3 Delivery times

Canada customers: 3-7 busniess days delivery

USA customers: 6-10 business days delivery

International customers: 1-3 weeks delivery

2.4 Signature

All original artworks and commissioned artworks will require a signature for delivery. All other items do not require a signature.

2.5 Custom and Import fees

Customs are subject to regulations and laws of individual countries. All international customers are responsible for all international fees, customs, duties, taxes and brokerage fees for all packages shipped to their country. Orders cannot be canceled, refused or returned because of custom duties, taxes or brokerage fees. Additional shipping fees will apply to re-ship the order if the shipment is returned back to Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking due to custom issues.

2.6 Lost packages

Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking has no control over and is not responsible for how the postal service handles or delivers your order. Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. The customer is responsible to open an investigation with their postal authority.

Please contact beachwoodworking@gmail.com to discuss your options for a refund or replacement in the case your order was not delivered by the postal service due to the order being lost in transit.

Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking is not responsible for returned orders that are lost in transit.

2.7 Damages

If your order shows sign of damage upon delivery due to handling from the postal service it is your responsibility to…

  1. for all items (excluding commissioned and original artwork) - report and submit to beachwoodworking@gmail.com your order number and photographic proof of the damage for us to review to determine refund and return eligibility as well as re-shipment of new product.

  2. for original and commissioned artwork - inspect for damages to the artwork before signing for the package upon delivery. All original and commissioned artwork will require a signature upon delivery. Do not refuse delivery but ensure that the driver or postal service notes the artwork was damaged due to mishandling prior to delivery. Then report and submit to beachwoodworking@gmail.com your order number and photographic proof of the damage for us to review to determine refund, return, and re-creation eligibility.

Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking is not responsible for returned orders that are damaged in transit.

2.8 Eligibility

We may decline to ship to certain destinations, such as countries subject to sanctions, war, disturbances, local regulations, or other restrictions. This includes destinations that do not allow the importation of live-edge wooden products due to strict import policies such as Austrailia. The customer will receive a full refund if delivery is unavailable for their location.

3. Returns and Refunds

3.1 Final sale

All sales are final. Contact beachwoodworking@gmail.com to initiate a refund, return and/or replacement of your order. Returns and replacements are not available for custom made artwork.

3.2 Return shipping

The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping to return an order that is eligible for return, refund and/or replacement. Once your order is received by Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking and there are no damages upon inspection (if returning the item(s) in new condition), you will receive a full refund or replacement if that was initially agreed upon before shipping the order back to Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking.

3.3 Policies per item

In-person Workshops: Refunds are not available for in-person workshops unless you are unable to attend the workshop due to onset of illness prior to the start time of the workshop. Contact beachwoodworking@gmail.com as soon as possible to discuss a full refund. Replacement tickets are accepted if you wish to sign up for a different workshop date if you can no longer attend the workshop you initially signed up for.

Commissioned Art: Refunds, returns, and replacements are not available for commissioned and custom artwork due to dissatisfaction. John will send a series of high-quality photos taken using a DSLR camera for you to inspect and approve before mailing your artwork. It is the customers responsibility to inspect for damages to the artwork prior to signing for the delivery of the package. Do not refuse delivery if there is damage and ensure that the driver or postal service notes the artwork was damaged due to mishandling prior to or upon delivery. Then report and submit to beachwoodworking@gmail.com your order number and photographic proof of the damage within 48 hours of delivery for us to review to determine refund, return, and re-creation eligibility.

Original Art: Refunds, returns, and replacements are not available for original artwork due to dissatisfaction. Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking uses high-quality photos taken using a DSLR camera for you to inspect and approve online in the shop before purchasing an original art piece. It is the customers responsibility to inspect for damages to the artwork prior to signing for the delivery of the package. Do not refuse delivery if there is damage and ensure that the driver or postal service notes the artwork was damaged due to mishandling prior to or upon delivery. Then report and submit to beachwoodworking@gmail.com your order number and photographic proof of the damage within 48 hours of delivery for us to review to determine refund, return, and re-creation eligibility.

*No refunds, returns or replacements are available to items that are damaged due to customer’s mishandling of the item or artwork.

4. Product Care

4.1 Care instructions

All original and commissioned artwork will include art care and installment instructions to preserve the artwork’s integrity and reduce the risk for damages.

4.2 Damages

Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking is not responsible for damages to items and artwork caused by the customer’s mishandling. No refunds, returns or replacements are available to items and artwork that are damaged due to the customer’s mishandling. This includes and is not limited to damaging an item or artwork due to…

  • dropping or scratching the item or artwork

  • spilling food or liquid onto the item or artwork

  • fingerprint marks on the wood and artwork

  • fading of the artwork due to prolonged UV exposure

  • or the item or artwork was stolen or lost under your ownership

5. Copyright

5.1 Agreement

No original artwork, commissioned artwork, or in-person workshop shall be copied, reproduced, modified, republished, uploaded, posted, reprinted, or distributed in any way without the prior written permission of Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking. Additionally, you agree and certify that you will not imitate any part of Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking’s services, including but not limited to the artwork, text, photographs, graphics, audio, visual, settings, controls, functionality, code, data, mechanisms, design, interactions or systems in place that we provide. Additionally, you agree that you shall not access Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking’s services in order to build a similar or competitive service. If you have done so or have been found to be complicit in doing so, Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking is entitled to seek monetary damages, injunctive relief and other remedies. Your use of Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking’s services does not grant you ownership of any content, code, data, or materials you may access on or through Beach & Sons Fine Woodworking’s services.
